MINNEAPOLIS — A Hennepin County jury found a man guilty Monday afternoon in the high-profile 2019 kidnapping and murder of a real estate agent.
Lyndon Wiggins was convicted on all counts in the death of Monique Baugh, a Minneapolis realtor and girlfriend of a former business partner of Wiggins.
Wiggins was found guilty of four counts of aiding and abetting the first-degree murder/kidnapping of Baugh and the attempted murder of her boyfriend.
Prosecutors said Wiggins was the mastermind of Baugh's execution and the shooting of her boyfriend, Jon Mitchell-Momoh, in front of their two young children. They told the jury that Wiggins and Mitchell-Momoh had a falling out, and Wiggins planned the elaborate scheme to kidnap Momoh's girlfriend to get to him, according to court documents.
