ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- On Wednesday, a Schenectady man was arrested by New York State Police following a traffic pursuit. According to troopers, Dennis Wohlleber, 35, is facing multiple charges.
Troopers said around 12:30 p.m. they attempted to stop a car, driven by Wohlleber, on McClellan Street in Schenectady for a traffic violation. He reportedly failed to stop and initiated a vehicle pursuit.
The pursuit later ended when he allegedly crashed into a fence in the Bigsbee Village Condominiums in Rotterdam. Troopers said after he crashed, he reportedly fled on foot toward Helderberg Avenue.
According to officials, he was taken into custody by Schenectady Police Officers but when officers searched his car, they reported finding a metal knuckle knife.
