It’s Election Day, and while this year voters aren’t electing a new president or deciding who will be Washington’s next governor, there are many key local positions up for grabs.

From choosing Seattle’s next mayor and city attorney to electing a new King County executive for the first time since 2009, this year’s November ballot is full of high-stakes races. There are also seats for city and county councils and the Seattle Public Schools Board, and multiple legislative positions to fill.

Voters will also weigh in on a couple of ballot measures and decide if Washington should invest its long-term care funds in the stock market.
