A week of preparation for La Center’s biggest game of the season against rival Seton Catholic was thrown into disarray just a couple minutes into the first quarter Friday.
Quarterback Nate Rembisz took off running on the Wildcats’ opening drive and sustained a hard hit from Seton Catholic defensive back Xavier Crank, resulting in an elbow injury that knocked him out of the game.
But La Center learned a valuable lesson in a hard-fought 12-7 loss to Seton Catholic , one the Wildcats can carry forward into the Week 10 state preliminary round. La Center (7-2) will host Granite Falls (8-1) Saturday at 2 p.m.
