A Troy DPW employee and volunteer auxiliary firefighter was acquitted Monday of multiple sex crimes following a trial in Oakland County Circuit Court.
After deliberating for approximately one hour, the jury determined Brian Dodoro was not guilty of six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of assault with intent to commit sexual penetration. Last Friday, the prosecution dismissed two other counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct Dodoro had faced.
Dodoro, 50, had been accused of sexually assaulting a young family member several years ago, but his accuser didn’t come forward until last year. The Troy Police Department said it then launched a thorough investigation that ultimately led to the charges.
