CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - As the government shutdown stretches into its second month, many North Carolinians worry about how to feed their families.
Recently, courts debated whether or not the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) would still be funded after Nov. 1, impacting more than 1.4 million North Carolinians alone
Judges ruled the program must be funded , at least in part, but the need for food still exists. Below is a list of area food pantries and soup kitchens. Many of them require a referral or a scheduled appointment, so be sure to call first.
