A woman has died of injuries she received Monday in an accidental shooting by her roommate, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said.

The shooting happened at about 1 p.m. Monday in the Greenwell Village Mobile Home Park on Greenwell Street.

The victim, Blanca Azucely Caalxo, 26, was struck when her roommate, Henry Gonzales Castro, accidentally discharged the gun, firing through a wall, the Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Castro was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on negligent homicide, the Sheriff's Office said.
