An Oklahoma City food pantry for the homeless is withdrawing a zoning application to build a larger operation next to the Farmers Market District after a protest was filed by hundreds of the area’s business and property owners.
The district, built around the historic Farmers Public Market, built in 1928 at 311 S Klein Ave., is undergoing a slow but steady renaissance and is home to a small array of restaurants, a produce store, garden center and shops.
