A Greenville man has been charged with attempted murder following a Saturday stabbing that left a victim in critical condition, according to the Greenville Police Department.

Officers responded November 2 to a disturbance in the 400 block of Cately Street. Witnesses told police a man had been stabbed and the attacker fled. After a short foot pursuit, officers took the suspect into custody.

The victim, Johnathan Hendrix, 43, of Greenville, suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body. He was taken to Delta Health and later flown to another facility due to the severity of his injuries.

The suspect, Jermaine Duncan, 41, of Greenville, was charged with Attempted Murder and booked into the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility on a $150,000 bond.
