Guillaume Canet, Romain Duris , Lyna Khoudri and Louis Peres have been announced for the cast of a feature film reboot of Pierre Souvestre and Marcel Allain’s iconic Fantômas franchise about a criminal mastermind.

The casting was announced by SND , the film production, distribution and sales arm of French commercial free-to-air broadcaster M6, which is spearheading the production and will introduce the film to international buyers at the AFM.

Principal photography will begin in Paris in January 2026, for a slated 2027 French release.

The feature will unfold in Paris in 1914, as series of violent crimes set the cops and the public on edge. Always one step ahead of the police, Fantomas is a master of deception and chaos.
