FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — The Fernandina Beach Police Department on Tuesday announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for an 18-year-old Bell High School football player accused of "aggressively pushing" and striking a Fernandina Beach High School football player in the head with a helmet on Halloween.
The warrant stems from an incident that occurred on Halloween during a football game between Fernandina Beach High School and Bell High School, according to the police department.
During the game, police say Daniel Byers aggressively pushed and removed the helmet of a 15-year-old Fernandina Beach High School player, then struck him in the head with it.
