PORTLAND, Maine — Today is Election Day in Maine, and there are a few things election officials want voters to remember.
There are two statewide referendum questions on the ballot in Maine.
Question 1 asks voters if they would like to require people to present a photo ID at the polls to vote and make other election changes.
Question 2 asks about allowing courts to bar a person from owning a gun or other dangerous weapon if family thinks they’re a danger to themselves or others.
There are also many local races and questions on municipal ballots.
All polling locations in Maine are open until 8 p.m. Tuesday. To find your polling location, click here .
