MUHLENBERG CO., Ky. (WFIE) - Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials say after a one week delay, a project to reconfigure the intersection of KY 176 and Merle Travis Highway in Muhlenberg County is scheduled to begin next week with a slightly altered timeline.
According to a press release, the road work was originally scheduled to begin this week, but the project was delayed when utilities were discovered within the project area.
Officials say phase one of the project begins Monday, November 10 with a month-long closure of KY 176 east of Ebenezer Road.
The roadway is expected to reopen in early December and remain open until the spring, allowing time for additional utility adjustments and relocations to be made.
