Cuttack: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has set a new world record with the creation of the largest boat sculpture made from areca nuts and coconuts, unveiled at the Bali Jatra ground in Odisha’s Cuttack on Tuesday.
The sculpture, measuring 50 feet in length and 30 feet in width, has been artistically crafted using 12,000 areca nuts, 500 coconuts, and 1,100 diyas. This extraordinary artwork, developed in collaboration with DION Group, stands as a remarkable tribute to Odisha’s ancient maritime heritage and the enduring spirit of Bali Jatra. ADVERTISEMENT
The installation was officially evaluated and certified by an International Jury, confirming its achievement as a World Record for the “Largest Boat Sculpture Art Installation Using Arecanuts and Coconuts.”
