President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to a new low, even as the president argues the first nine months of his term have been historically successful.
Just 37% of Americans in a poll released Monday by CNN/SSRS approved of Trump’s performance.
That’s a sharp decline from earlier this year and a new low point for Trump’s second term. In mid-February, his approval rating was about 47%, according to The Guardian .
Trump’s approval rating is also down from the previous CNN poll, conducted in July. At that point, it was 42%, according to The Hill .
The percentage of people explicitly disapproving of Trump’s performance is also on the rise.
It was 63% in the new poll, compared with 52% in mid-February.
