Diane Ladd, an Oscar-nominated actress whose career spanned seven decades, died Monday, Nov. 3, at 89.
Ladd died at home in Ojai, California, People magazine reported. Her daughter, actress Laura Dern, was with her, according to a statement from Dern provided to the Hollywood Reporter.
"My amazing hero and my profound gift of a mother, Diane Ladd, passed with me beside her this morning at her home in Ojai, California," the statement read. "She was the greatest daughter, mother, grandmother, actress, artist and empathetic spirit that only dreams could have seemingly created. We were blessed to have her.
