Like a moth to the flame, Salem Reporter photographer Ron Cooper is unable to resist the compulsion to photograph the annual fall color spectacular in the Salem area.

This year was no exception and in two days he searched for and found his fall color images at Deepwood Estate, Bush House and Bush’s Pasture Park, Wallace Marine Park, on a car in the drive way of a friend’s home, Minto Island Park, and in the Polk County wine country.

“I’ve probably done fall color photos more times than I can count but the beauty of fall in the Willamette Valley is just too much to pass by,” Cooper said.
