ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — New York's annual holiday donation drive is back to help families in need — and you have a chance to help!
The drive began on November 1, and multiple drop-off locations have opened up across the state. New Yorkers may visit these locations to donate unwrapped toys, coats, school supplies, and non-perishable foods for underserved communities.
There are three drop-off locations in Rochester — the New York State Police HQ on Scottsville Road, the NYS Department of Transportation on Jefferson Road, and 259 Monroe Avenue.
According to Governor Hochul, the drive was expanded to include food donations due to the government shutdown impacting SNAP benefits.
Donations will be accepted until December 5. All food collected between November 1 and the week before Thanksgiv
