SAN ANDREAS, Calif. —
A person was injured after a single-engine airplane crashed Monday afternoon in Calaveras County, officials said.
The Calaveras County Dispatch Center received reports around 12:50 p.m. that a plane had left the side of the runway while taking off from the Calaveras County Airport in San Andreas and crashed into a field, the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office said.
The plane struck large rocks, which caused it to flip over and land upside-down onto its roof. The pilot, the plane's only occupant, sustained moderate injuries, the sheriff's office said.
The National Transportation Safety Board was notified of the crash. An investigation is ongoing, the sheriff's office said. This content is imported from Facebook. You may be able to find the same content in another fo
