Damage is estimated at up to $300,000
The smell of smoke still lingered in the air around Bridgette Bar in Calgary’s Beltline on Tuesday morning, following an overnight blaze that left the popular restaurant damaged.
Fire crews responded to reports of a structure fire in the 700 block of 10th Avenue S.W. at around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, firefighters found a significant flames and smoke on the rear exterior of the building located at 739 10 Ave S.W., said Calgary Fire Department spokesperson Alex Kwan.
