TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa is rolling out the Homeowner Hurricane Assistance Program, a $2 million initiative aimed at helping residents in the hardest-hit neighborhoods.
City leaders said these are unrestricted general funds, giving the city more flexibility.
Starting November 17th, Tampa homeowners hit hard by hurricanes Helene and Milton can apply for a new round of repair assistance.
“They'll be prioritized by zip code. And we really want to get funds to those in the hardest hit areas. So, that would be 3360 533605 33612 and 33616,” said development and economic opportunity administrator Abbye Feeley.
The funding, approved by the City Council, offers up to $30,000 per household for storm-related repairs.
