Open enrollment in Colorado allows K-12 students to apply for enrollment in any public school outside their attendance area, regardless of whether that school is in their district. Schools accepting applications for open enrollment do so depending on school populations, enrollment projections, building capacities and staff sizes, among other criteria. Each of the districts offer comprehensive open house opportunities, allowing prospective students and parents a chance to check out their favored destinations.
