Crews will begin repaving streets in downtown Fresno this week as part of the cities’ Pave More Now initiative, city officials announced.
The project will cover portions of Cherry Avenue, Los Angeles Street, Fulton Street and Butler Avenue, with work scheduled to start Wednesday. Construction will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Drivers should expect lane reductions and possible delays throughout the project and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
According to the city’s schedule, manhole work will be done Wednesday and Thursday, followed by grinding on Friday, Saturday, and Monday.
Paving operations are planned for Nov. 12–14, with additional manhole work on Nov. 17 and striping set for Nov. 18–19.
The city said the schedule is subject to weather or construction delays.
