PEORIA, Ill. – A gift to the Peoria Riverfront Museum is giving more people a chance to see America’s history.
The museum announced Tuesday morning a $1 million gift in association with its America 250 exhibit next year.
Museum President and CEO John Morris says the gift will allow every student in Illinois to attend the museum and exhibit for free, calling it the All-Illinois Student Pass.
“Not one student K-12, public, private, homeschooled, not one student from Illinois will be prohibited from coming to this museum, because of the cost of admission,” Morris said.
The museum also announced on Tuesday that George Washington’s first Thanksgiving Proclamation will be part of the America 250 exhibit.
