ILLINOIS (WCIA) -- Tuesday, Nov. 4 is Election Day for some, but not for us here in Illinois. It is, however, one year until the midterm elections, and voters will have plenty of decisions to make then.

Senator Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) is not running for reelection after serving as a U.S. Senator for nearly 30 years. Running to fill his shoes from the Democratic side are Lieutenant Governor Julianna Stratton, and U.S. Representatives Robin Kelley and Raja Krishnamoorthi. On the Republican side, Mississippi native and former consultant Pamela Denise Long is running. Also vying for the seat on the conservative side is R. Cary Capparelli -- a Chicago-born geographer and CEO.
