Yucaipa officials have referred a potential conflict-of-interest violation involving Councilmember Bob Miller to the state Fair Political Practices Commission and the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, the city announced.

According to a city statement released Thursday, Oct. 30, the City Council voted in closed session that day to refer the matter to the FPPC’s Enforcement Division and the DA’s office after reviewing the opinion of its special counsel to “ensure an impartial, independent evaluation by the agencies responsible for enforcing state conflict-of-interest laws.” Miller recused himself from the closed session, the city said.
