The Saugeen District Senior School (SDSS) Royals cross country team wrapped up its season with a strong showing at the OFSAA ( Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association) , championships Nov. 1 in Brampton.

SDSS coach/ teacher Karah Miraie said she, and Saugeen Track and Field Club coaches Brian Hillbers, Chad Quanz, and Nick Veenstra, are proud of all Royals runners and the eight who advanced to the championships.

“I coach both cross country and track and field and (the athletes) are just awesome kids – they work really hard, they all have a really great attitude and many train with excellent coaches with the Saugeen Track & Field Club,” Miraie said in a Nov. 4 telephone interview.
