A woman on her way to vote crashed into a Camp Hill School District gymnasium Tuesday morning, according to Camp Hill Police Chief Stephen Margeson.

The woman drove her Mazda SUV through two industrial steel doors leading to the Hoover Elementary School gym while she was coming to the elementary school to vote at its polling place. Witnesses told police the woman accelerated as she approached the gym, driving through the doors and across the gym into the opposite wall.

“We certainly don’t think there was anything intentional about this,” Margeson said. “She was confused about how this happened herself, which is not uncommon.”
