Idaho Fish and Game on Monday announced multiple hunters have been convicted for wildlife violations following an extended investigation spanning two years.

Those violations involve unlawfully taking mule deer and other animals.

Conservation officers with Idaho Fish and Game (IDFG) in the Magic Valley have been working the case, which began in October 2023 and has resulted in multiple convictions and restitution, according to a news release.

IDFG officers identified a group of people hunting in game management unit 54, which is located near Rogerson, Idaho. Surveillance efforts indicated that this group was unlawfully taking mule deer without proper tags.
