BOISE, Idaho — As the sun sets on Election Day across the Gem State, a new era gets underway in Nampa. Unofficial results show Rick Hogaboam will take the reins as the city's next mayor.
Hogaboam toppled three other candidates, Eric Myricks, Justin Buchholz and Melissa Sue Robinson, in the Nampa mayoral race.
He earned 62.3% of the vote, ahead of Myricks with 28.4% of the vote, unofficial results show as of 11:20 p.m. MT Tuesday, Nov. 4. All election results are unofficial until certified by the State Board of Canvassers.
The four candidates sought to step in with Debbie Kling earlier this year announcing she would not be running for reelection. Kling has served as Nampa's mayor since 2018.
