Northern Ontario communities can now get up to 75 per cent off the cost of installing EV charging stations through Ontario’s new ChargeON program.

The ChargeON program , launched this week by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, will provide money to help municipalities, Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations to expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

The program has a specific focus on underserved and rural regions, officials said in a release.
