Jon Killoran, CEO of the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition, announced Tuesday that he's running for Washoe County Commission District 2 seat now held by Mike Clark. Both are Republicans.

Killoran is a former news director for KRNV-TV. In 2008, he joined the nonprofit whose mission is to return the Winter Olympics to the region.

In a news release, Killoran listed his campaign priorities as using taxpayer dollars accountably, strengthening public safety with emphasis on wildfire prevention, and investing in infrastructure and policies that protect Nevada characteristics, emphasizing clean and safe neighborhoods.
