Reliever Andrew Kittredge is returning to the Baltimore Orioles just over three months after being traded away.
The Orioles announced Tuesday afternoon that Kittredge will rejoin the team after being dealt back to Baltimore by the Chicago Cubs in exchange for cash considerations.
Kittredge originally signed with the Orioles last offseason, but a knee injury sidelined him until late May. Once healthy, he went 2-2 with a 3.45 ERA and 32 strikeouts over 31 1/3 innings.
He was traded to the Cubs on July 31 and helped them reach the playoffs, where their run ended with a Division Series loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
