Roughly 10,000 people are expected to attend the fourth annual Robotics Discovery Day on Wednesday, and more than 200 exhibitors will be there to greet them, robots and all.

Jennifer Apicella called the event the “front door” to Pittsburgh’s tech business community.

“Discovery Day is this region’s annual touch point for our robotics, AI and deep tech community,” Ms. Apicella said. “This is where our region opens the door to these companies and invites the world in.”

Starting at 9 a.m. at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, the event is free and open to the public — especially for the public that is not familiar with the robotics or artificial intelligence world, she said.
