The city of Canandaigua and several surrounding towns are currently under a boil water advisory as the city works to address an active water main break on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
A post published on the city's Facebook page this afternoon states city crews are working to identify the cause of the water main break, which is affecting portions of the municipal water system, and restore its residents to full service as quickly as possible.
"The City will provide updates as additional information becomes available and once the advisory can be lifted," the post continued. "Public safety and health remain our highest priority, and we appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during this time."
