CLARK, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The City of Clark is implementing a new tax for businesses and residents.
According to the South Dakota Department of Revenue, the new tax will begin Jan. 1, 2026.
The new tax will reportedly apply to lodging accommodations, eating establishments, alcoholic beverage sales and admissions.
Per South Dakota Law 10-52-9 , municipalities are authorized to introduce, adjust and establish municipal tax rates on Jan. 1 or July 1 of each year.
The South Dakota Department of Revenue is providing Municipal Tax Information Bulletins to assist businesses and residents in understanding the changes.
