Not to yea.
Luzerne County voters are deciding today if the county government will replace its existing Home Rule Charter with a revised charter presented by the Luzerne County Government Study Commission, altering the form of government.
The charter lays out the framework of how the county government operates.
Those who vote "yes" are selecting to replace the current charter with the newly proposed charter. Those who vote "no" seek to keep the current charter in place.
With 77% of the vote reporting, Luzerne County voters appeared to reject the proposed changes. The "no" votes outnumbered the "yes" votes by nearly 12,000.
The proposed charter amendments shrink the size of the County Council
