LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — According to Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles officials, the launch of a new web portal allowing the public to report vehicles with expired registrations or no license plates has resulted in more than 10,000 submissions.
In the 14 days since an Oct. 21 FOX5 report on the new initiative, the number of submissions has more than doubled. This update comes nearly a month after the announcement that Nevada would be one of the first states to roll out a registration spotter.
Chief JD Decker, head of the Nevada DMV Compliance Enforcement Division, said people become upset that others are getting away without paying their vehicle-related dues.
