(KRON) -- California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber has hit back at President Donald Trump's unsubstantiated claims that Tuesday's special statewide election is somehow rigged.

"The Unconstitutional Redistricting Vote in California is a GIANT SCAM in that the entire process, in particular the Voting itself, is RIGGED," Trump wrote on Truth Social, without providing any evidence. "All 'Mail-In' Ballots, where the Republicans in that State are 'Shut Out,' is under very serious legal and criminal review. STAY TUNED!"

On Tuesday, Weber issued a statement rebuking Trump.

"If there are irregularities, what are they?" Weber wrote. "Why won't they identify them? Where exactly is this fraud? Ramblings don't equate with fact."
