(KRON) -- Hercules police said a car passenger with an active warrant gave officers a fake name when a vehicle pulled over for an expired registration soon led to a narcotics bust.

Hercules police said an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop near the westbound I-80 on-ramp from John Muir Parkway. The 32-year-old vehicle driver from Hercules did not have an issued driver's license. The aforementioned passenger, confirmed as a 48-year-old Richmond man, was found to have an active warrant from San Mateo police. The time and date of the incident was not detailed by police.
