LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo has seen its share of fire alarms recently, and last night was the third fire in four days.
At approximately 9 PM, emergency crews converged on the 2300 block of Scott Street, where a warehouse was ablaze.
Firefighters dedicated the night to containing the inferno and preventing any re-ignition, a crucial effort that ensured the visible damage this morning remained minimal.
Now, the Laredo Fire Department is stepping forward with initial insights from their investigation into the Scott Street incident.
“After further investigation, our crews did find inside the structure, two mounts of trash as well as some, mechanical equipment on fire.”
The warehouse happened to be a metal scraps company.
