Emergency crews are responding to reports of a plane crash at Muhammad Ali Airport, Louisville, on Tuesday, according to Louisville Metro Police Department.

The location of the reported crash was at the intersection of Fern Valley Road and Grade Lane, which is at the southern edge of the airport.

A shelter-in-place order has been issued for all locations within 5 miles of the airport and asks the public to avoid the area until further notice, Louisville Metro Emergency Services said.

Injuries have been reported, the Louisville Metro Police Department said in a social media post.
