ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- The family of Ryan Charles, who was found dead in Cecilia in January, is speaking out after an arrest was made in connection to his death.

Charles was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in a wooded area in Cecilia after being reported missing by his family.

The Saint Martin Parish Sheriff's Office announced that they had solved the case within nine months, bringing some closure to Charles's family.

"I thought it would have went unsolved, but we have to thank God, thank the Saint Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, that they solved it in nine months," said Sarah Charles, Charles's aunt.
