New Orleans police have rebooked a 21-year-old in connection with a deadly carjacking incident that left an Uber driver dead.
Brandon Joseph, 21, who was already in Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office custody, was identified as the suspect and re-booked on second-degree murder charges. Advertisement
The carjacking happened on Oct. 9 in the 1000 block of Bienville Street near Burgundy Street.
Miguel Stemley, 60, of Boutte, was killed during the incident.
According to police, Stemley, who was an Uber driver, was involved in a struggle with Joseph when his vehicle rolled over and pinned him underneath.
Stemley was transported to a local hospital, where he was declared dead.
