ISLAND PARK, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The body of a local teacher has been identified as one of two bodies recovered from an Eastern Idaho lake on Monday.
Two fishermen disappeared on Saturday evening after failing to return home from Henrys Lake, according to East Idaho News . Rescue crews found their bodies in the lake around 5:30 p.m. on Monday with help from a sonar scan.
Blaine County School District Superintendent Jim Foudy identified James Morey, a teacher at Carey School, as one of the fishermen.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of James Morey,” Foudy stated. “Mr. Morey was an incredible teacher and person. He prioritized all the right things.”
Foudy was a math and science teacher at the school. He was also the high school’s boys track coach.
