SPOKANE, Wash. — The Manito Holiday Light display at Spokane's Manito Park will not take place this year, according to organizers.
The Friends of Manito posted an update on its website , announcing that it will not hold its 2025 event. The organization says the event was canceled due to concerns about the resources needed, the environmental impact on Manito Park, and the stress it can place on the park’s nearby neighbors.
"We know how much joy this event brought to our community, and we share in the disappointment. In 2026, we plan to revisit the idea and explore ways to create a celebration that spreads holiday happiness while caring for our Park and our neighbors," said the Friends of Manito on its website.
