SAUGERTIES, N.Y. — Saugerties High’s girls volleyball won its Section 9 Class A quarterfinal-round tournament match 3-0 over New Paltz on Monday, Nov. 3.
The third-seeded Sawyers prevailed 25-10, 25-14 and 25-18 to advance to the semifinals at No. 2 Wallkill at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6.
Top performers for the host Sawyers against No. 6 New Paltz were Alaina Conrad (21 assists, 16 digs, five kills, two aces), Devyn Wise (17 kills, five digs, two blocks), Lauren Stinemire (five kills, eight digs), Mia Sasso (12 assists, nine digs, six kills) and Viola Myers (six kills).

At Wallkill, the host Panthers (12-3) eliminated No. 7 Marlboro in the Class A quarterfinals with a 25-14, 25-20 and 25-23 victory on Monday.
