JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Families are asking for answers after a Jacksonville youth hockey team shut down just a month into its season. Those families are now demanding their money back.
The Bold City Battalion was part of the U.S. Premier Hockey League, a junior hockey organization with teams all over the country, including Florida. Players came from all over the country and other parts of Florida to be part of the Battalion, which operated out of the Community First Igloo.
Chantel McCue’s 17-year-old son Kaiden was one of those players. She said he has been in skates since he was 6 years old.
“He's a really good kid and he handles stuff very well. It's just the way we've raised him," McCue said.
Kaiden’s dream is to play hockey in college and he has moved up the ranks of youth hockey lea
