BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington Police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon robbery outside the Food Lion on North Church Street.

Officers responded around 3:30 p.m. after someone reported being robbed in the parking lot. Police said the victim wasn't hurt.

Investigators said the suspect approached the victim inside the store and asked them to step outside. Once in the parking lot, the suspect pulled out a gun, demanded money, and ran off with cash.

Police said the suspect wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, white sneakers, a black and white baseball cap, and a gold necklace.
