LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Eaton County Land Bank Authority officially purchased the historic Horner Woolen Mill on Oct. 31.

According to Eaton County Treasurer Dairus Reynnet, the Land Bank Authority purchased the site for only $10.

“The out-of-state owners had to pay the county the delinquent property taxes, which was approximately $21,000,” said Reynnet.

In collaboration with the city and county, the Land Bank Authority plans to demolish and revitalize the building due to ‘environmental and structural challenges.’
